If you’d like to run Scottish ridges and skylines, then this is the Rannsaich adventure for you. Four days running, dreaming, seeking, breathing, living amidst the classic ridges, some of which now host some of the world’s most extreme skyrunning races in the world.
If you’re training for races or simply keen to try some of the ridges that the world’s best runners are racing along with an experienced runner and mountain leader, then join us this summer.
So with so many options to choose from and a simple desire to run in good weather, how do we get to be in the right place at the right time to have an epic ridge running day? We go mobile! We’ll follow the best weather in mobile homes so that we can be in the right place at the right time. This is Trasta Trasta!
The chief decision maker for this Rannsaich running adventure will be the weather! We’ll be following the best weather to get high and stay high as much as possible. The possibilities are endless, it just means being flexible, being in the right place at the right time, and being ready to go, which is why we’ll be based in two motorhomes for the duration of the adventure.
Travelling, sleeping, running and chilling at the foot of our classic Scottish ridges - Glencoe, Glen Nevis, the Mamores, Glen Shiel, Torridon, Appin, Ardnamurchan... There are so many options for amazing skyrunning days, including routes included in the Migu Run Skyrunner World Series, the Salomon Skyrunning Series and the Golden Trail Series.
And if that’s not enough then we’ll run more off-the-beaten ridges that take us into a beautiful network of wild glens and mountains.
Running will be mainly high mountain running. Half to full long days depending on the weather and on legs. Steep sections. Some exposure and easy scrambling. Rough ground. There will be some boggy sections on lower ground.
Trasta Trasta is suitable for trail and mountain runners who are looking to discover skyrunning in Scotland and for those looking for days of vertical climbs and gravity descents. It’s also a good running adventure for experienced mountain runners who would like to discover and train on some new interesting ridges or to recce infamous race routes along with a helpful and experienced running guide. Scottish terrain can be pretty tricky so if you’d like to discover what this is all about, then this is for you! As with all of our adventures, we speak to all runners about their experience to ensure that the adventure is suitable for them.
